Welcome one and all to the official opening of Daniel's Danish blog!
Well, in exactly one month I will be flying into Denmark to live for the next year of my life in a small village called Ry. Ry has about 5000 people, and i will be attending school at Silkeborg Gymnasium (pronounced Gim-nah-si-um, and is not, as its name suggests, a large fitness facility, but a school with years 10-12 containing 1000 students) which can be found on the map below. Ry is located near the second largest city in Denmark, called Arhus.
I have recently received contact from my first host family in Denmark, Freddy and Berrit Lysdal. They have 3 sons, Andreas 15, Soren 14 and Lasse, 7.
and that's all for now. Merry Christmas all!

Hi DtD, it all looks wonderful & sounds new & exciting. I'm sitting on the couch giving Grammy & Gramps a tour of your site - they are impressed & love the pics. Your family sounds very nice. Climbing that pole in town looks a little trickier than when we climbed the Glouster Tree - good luck with that! I'm off to Bright camping this weekend. You have a great time. We'd like to see a few more pics of people & of you in a future edition.
Love Lisa, Grammy, Gramps, Minnie, Rosie & Maisie
